Earn Points for Sending Verification Requests

You can now track your credibility on Dentity’s platform by earning points for actions you complete while using the product. Starting now, you can earn 200 points for every verification request you send to someone else via Dentity. And more opportunities to earn points are coming soon. 

As you continue to use Dentity, you can earn more points, which will unlock special opportunities in the future.

How to Send a Verification Request

Start a Dentity verification request from your Profile Dashboard, using the “+” button: 

Common reasons to verify someone’s identity include: 

- Avoiding local commerce scams (e.g. Facebook Marketplace)

- Confirming the identity of a local service provider before hiring

- Avoiding romance scams

If you don’t see the “+” button (illustrated above) within Dentity: 

Visit dentity.com and click the Sign in button in the top-right corner of the page.

Note: If you’ve signed into Dentity by coming from another app or experience, you may not see the option to send a verification request, but you can get the full Dentity profile experience by signing in directly from Dentity’s website. 

If you haven’t already, you’ll be prompted to complete identity verification (~3 minutes), before going to your Profile Dashboard.

From your Profile Dashboard, tap/click the “+” button to create and send a verification request to someone whose identity you want to verify.
